Manual Vacancy Request Generation
Explanation
Use this activity to manually register a vacancy request that was not part of
the prepared headcount plan.
Prerequisites
In order to perform this activity:
- headcount plan has to be registered
- Jobs have to be registered (optional)
- Competency profiles have to be registered (optional)
System Effects
As a result of this activity, an unplanned vacancy request will be registered
in the system.

Procedure
- Open the Headcount Plan window.
- Search or populate to find the relevant headcount plan.
- You can use the tree structure on the left to find the organization unit
for which you want to file a vacancy request.
- Go to the Vacancies tab and add a new record.
- In the Requested Employees field, enter the number of
employees that you want to request.
- In the Requested FTE field, enter the full time
equivalent of what you are requesting. E.g. if you request 2 employees to
work half-time, you enter 2 in the Requested Employees
field, and 1 in the Requested FTE field.
- In the Date From field, enter when employment of
requested employee should start.
- In the Date To field, enter the when the requested
employee should end their employment.
- In the Position ID field, you can enter identifier of a
position which you are requesting.
- In the Company Dependet Information area, you can add
additional details regarging the vacancy.
- If you want employees to fulfil the requirements of a specific job,
enter its ID in the Job ID field.
Note:
Doing this will prevent you from using the Profile ID
field.
- If you want employees to fulfil requirements of a specific
competency profile, enter its ID in the Profile ID
field.
- Save your changes.
