Define Property Codes for Positions

Explanation

This activity is used to define property codes for a position. Property codes are used to store numerical and text values that do not have a designated place in IFS Applications. For example, minimal height for a security guard can be registered as a property code.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, property codes have to be already defined in the Property Field Definition window.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a property code will be defined for a position and registered in the system.

Procedure

  1. Open the Graphical Position Structure window.
  2. Search or populate to find the relevant position structure.
  3. Select the position from the graphical object structure
  4. Go to the Property Codes tab and add a new record in the table.
  5. If the selected position is part of a matrix structure, select the ID of a company for which the property code will be defined in the Company ID field. You can use the list of values. Skip this step for company structures.
  6. In the Property Code field, enter the property code. You can use the list of values.
  7. In the Property Value field, enter the value for the property code. If there is a list of values defined, you can use it.
  8. Enter the validity period for the property code in the Valid From and Valid To fields.
  9. Save the information.
