Define Pre Postings for Organization Units

Explanation

This activity is used to select code parts that will become available for an organization unit.
Note: A matrix organization unit can have one code string defined for every company it is connected to.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity:

• Code parts have to be defined in the system.
• Code part values have to be defined in the system.
• In the matrix solution, the matrix organization structure has to be connected to relevant companies.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, selected code parts will become available to an organization unit.
If the the organization unit is a matrix one, multiple code strings can be defined for every company that the matrix structure is connected to.

Procedure

1. Open the Graphical Organization Structure window.
2. Search or populate to find the relevant structure.
3. Under the Pre Posting area, select code parts for the organization unit.

Note: If the organization unit belongs to a matrix organization structure that has several companies assigned to it, you can select different code parts for every company. In order to do so, select the relevant company in the Company ID field.
