Connect Equipment Object Structure

Explanation

Use this activity to connect an equipment object structure with an operational plan. The connection is done by that the top node of the object structure is entered in the connection section in the operational plan window. The manual plan lines in an operational plan corresponds to operational events ongoing on the object structure that is connected. This can for example be oil drilling activities that are ongoing on a connected object structure which represent an oil rig.

If IFS/Maintenance Planning Board (MPB) is used, by connecting an object structure to an operational plan, the operational plan is used to derive the object accessibility when scheduling tasks/operations inside MPB, that are planned on the objects in this connected structure. Through operational modes that are connected to objects in the connected structure and operational modes connected to manual plan lines in the operational plan the system can derive what is called the object accessibility (times when a certain object is available/accessible for maintenance). The object accessibility is used in scheduling tasks/operations with MPB if applicable.
