Enter Severity Data
Explanation
This activity is used to define or edit severities. Each defined non conformance in a non conformance report has a severity. Examples of possible severities are low, medium, high, etc.

Procedure
- Click the Severity tab in the Non Conformance Report Basic Data window.
- Create a new record.
- In the Severity ID column, enter a short code for the severity. Entering a value in this field is mandatory and once saved, this value cannot be edited.
- In the Description column, enter a description of the severity id.
- In the Open CAPA Allowed column, select
Ignore, Verify or Restrict.
Entering a value in this field is optional.
- In the Notes column, enter a note regarding the severity. Entering a value in this field is optional.
- Save when complete.
- If you don't want this severity ID to be available in the content
filter of the NCR chart, unselect the Show in Chart
check box.
Note: You can translate the description into different languages using
the basic data translation functionality. Select a record, right-click and then
click Translation. In the
Basic Data Translation window,
enter descriptions per language.
