Connect CAPA

Explanation

This activity is used to connect a CAPA to a Non-conformance report or to another business object enabled for CAPA connections.

Prerequisites

• An NCR must exist in order to create a Corrective Action from an NCR.
• To connect a CAPA to other business objects, a system administrator must configure the corrective and preventive action object connections in the Object Connections window.

• The CAPA is connected either to an NCR or another business object.

Procedure

To connect a CAPA to an NCR:

1. In the Corrective And Preventive Action window, open the Details tab
2. Enter a non conformance report number in the NCR No field or select one from the List of Values.
3. Enter a correction action line no in the CA Line No field or select one from the List of Values. Entering a value in this field is not required.
4. Save.

To connect a CAPA to another business object:

1. In the Corrective And Preventive Action window, open the Connected to tab.
2. Click New.
3. In the Object list, select a suitable type of business object to connect to.
4. Search for an object, select it and click OK.
5. Save.
