Use this window to enter reservation and availability connections between supply sites and demand sites for use in supply chain reservations and inventory part availability visibility. Additionally the default setting for the Release for Mtrl Planning checkbox on the customer order line can be controlled. Reservation connections provide a way for the supply site to restrict demands from unconnected sites. In other words, if there are no connections between a specific supply site and a specific demand site or a connection not allowing supply site reservation, the demand site cannot make supply chain reservations on the supply site. To see inventory part availability on the supply site is essential when selling to customers and can be enable this window for demand site users even though they are not connected to the supply site. Note that a user connected to the supply site will always see availability on the supply site no matter configuration in this window. When a customer order line with supply code internal purchase direct or internal purchase transit is entered on demand site, the value of the Release for Mtrl Planning checkbox controls whether the demand entered may be visible as a demand on the supply site already before the customer order is released. The checkbox is selected as default, but it can be controlled if it should be unselected instead by having a set up done in this window, since the value is inherited to the customer order line.
