Specify Scheduling Settings for Maintenance Planning Board

Explanation

This activity is used to define the different default time frames used by the Maintenance Planning Board (MPB) when scheduling work tasks/work lists for a site.

Prerequisites

• This activity requires that the site is added in Maintenance Planning Board Basic Data window.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, Site can be schedule inside MPB and the values you specify are used by the MPB to schedule work tasks/work lists.

Procedure

1. Open the Maintenance Planning Board Basic Data window and query for the site you want to specify scheduling settings.
2. Select the Enable MPB Scheduling check box.
3. In the Scheduling Horizon field, enter the number of days that the MPB should consider when scheduling. The default value is 365. You can set any value up to five years but shorter time frames will provide better performance.
4. In the Scheduling Start Point (Hours from Present Time) field, enter a default start time for the first work task in the schedule. This optional value is set to 8 hours by default.
5. Save the information.
