Load Work Orders, PM Action Occurrences and Operational Plans

Explanation

This activity is used to load selected or all work orders and PM action occurrences available on a site to the Maintenance Planning Board. The Work Orders/PMs are loaded from the database so that they can be scheduled considering resource constraints and rules. This can be done when the Maintenance Planning Board is first started and also while it is in use.

Loading of Operational Plans to the Maintenance Planning Board is also done through this activity. By loading Operational Plans it is possible to schedule work orders and PM action occurrences considering, not only resource constrains and scheduling rules, but also availability of equipment and equipment objects (when they are not being used in operations).

Prerequisites

The site needs to be set up to use the Maintenance Planning Board. This is done in the Basic Data for Maintenance Planning Board window.
When loading selected work orders or PM action occurrences there should be data to match the criteria that is specified in the load-dialog.

System Effects

Based on selection criteria the work orders, PM action occurrences and all master data will be loaded onto the Maintenance Planning Board.
Note that only work orders in Work Request, Fault Report, Observed, Under Preparation, Prepared, Released, Started states will be loaded ( if stand alone work orders and/or work order structures selected to be loaded).
Further note that work tasks in Work Done status will not be loaded and relationship for the other work tasks are neglected
Note that only the PM action occurrences in Active status will be loaded (if preventive maintenance plans was selected to be loaded).
If selected All Active state operational plans will be loaded.
If selected All Under Preparation state operational plans will be loaded.
If an operational plans are connected to an equipment object structure that is loaded into Maintenance Planning Board that operational plan will also be loaded.

Procedure

To load work orders, PM action occurrences, and operational plans when the Maintenance Planning Board has been launched:

In the Main tab of the IFS Maintenance Planning Board load-dialog that appears, you may specify the required criteria by performing one or more of the following steps.

Leave all the fields blank if you don't want to have any filter criterias for loading.

Select the Planned Start Date check box and then enter a date range in the From and To fields. This will retrieve work orders or PM action occurrences for which the planned start date is equal to or is between these two dates.

Select the Planned Finish Date check box and then enter a date range in the From and To fields. This will retrieve work orders or PM action occurrences for which the planned finish date is equal to or is between these two dates.

Select the Earliest Start Date check box and then enter a date range in the From and To fields. This will retrieve work orders or PM action occurrences for which the earliest start date is equal to or is between these two dates.

Select the Latest Finish Date check box and then enter a date range in the From and To fields. This will retrieve work orders or PM action occurrences for which the latest finish date is equal to or is between these two dates.

Select the Work Order Status check box. Enter a Work Order Statuses in the Work Order Status field or select one from the List of Values. Allows multiple values.

Select the Maintenance Organization check box. Enter a maintenance organizations in the Maintenance Organization field or select one from the List of Values. Allows multiple values.

Select the Priority check box. Enter a priority in the Priority field or select one from the List of Values. Allows multiple values.

Select the Object Group check box. Enter an object group in the Object Group field or select one from the List of Values. Allows multiple values.

Select the Object Node check box. Enter a object node in the object node field or select one from the List of Values. Allows multiple values.

Select the Project Connected WOs check box. Enter a project ID in the Project Connected WOs field or select one from the List of Values. Allows multiple values.

In the Additional tab of the IFS Maintenance Planning Board load-dialog that appears, you may specify additional criteria by following one or more of the following steps.

Leave all the fields blank if you don't want to have any filter criteria's for loading.

Select the Work Type check box. Enter a work type in the Work Type field or select one from the List of Values. Allows multiple values.

Select the Work Type Category check box. Enter a work type category in the Work Type Category field or select one from the List of Values.

Select the Action check box. Enter an action in the Action field or select one from the List of Values. Allows multiple values.

Select the Operational Status check box. Enter an operational status in the Operational Status field or select one from the List of Values. Allows multiple values.

Select the Critical Work check box. Select whether you want to load critical or non critical work orders from the List of Values. Allows multiple values. If Critical is selected work orders having at least one critical work tasks will be loaded. If none critical is selected, only the work orders with out having any critical work task is loaded. For PMs the values is evaluated from PM header level.

Select the Criticality check box. Enter work order criticality in the field Criticality or select one from the List of Values. Allows multiple values.

Select the Work Leader check box. Enter work leader identity in the field Work Leader or select one from the List of Values. Allows multiple values.

Select the Prepared By check box. Enter prepared by identity in the field Prepared By or select one from the List of Values. Allows multiple values.

Select the Work Orders check box. Enter work order number in the field Work Orders or select one from the List of Values. Allows multiple values.

Select the Work Task/Work List Maint Organization check box. Enter the maintenance organization of the Work Task/Work List in the field Work Task/Work List Maint Organization or select one from the List of Values. Allows multiple values.

Select the Work Task/Work List Scheduling Obstructive check box. Select whether you want to load orders which has scheduling obstructive work tasks / work lists by selecting appropriate value from the List of Values. Allows multiple values.

In the Activity Types To Include tab of the IFS Maintenance Planning Board load-dialog that appears, you may select what types of activities that should be loaded. Stand Alone Work Orders and Work Order Structures are checked as default.

NOTE: Operational Plans that are required to determine the object availability for maintenance will be loaded irrespective of the fact that you have selected All Active Operational Plans for Site/Network check box or not. This happens when the Maintenance Planning Board loads orders where the work task or PM action which is connected to equipment objects which in turn is connected to an active operational plan. These operational plans are needed for determining Object Accessibility Since Object Accessibility is required when creating a realistic maintenance schedule. This means that the Maintenance Planning Board loads these Active Operational Plans even if the check box is unchecked.

In the SQL tab of the IFS Maintenance Planning Board window that appears, you may enter SQL queries as filter criteria.

Select the SQL WHERE for Work Orders check-box and enter an SQL query to filter orders you want to load to Maintenance Planning Board.

Select the SQL WHERE for Preventive Maintenance Plans and enter an SQL query to filter PM action occurrences you want to load to Maintenance Planning Board.
