Enter Master Schedule Level 1 Forecast

Explanation

This activity is used to enter forecasts for level 1 parts. 

Prerequisites

The part should be registered as a MS level 1 part.

Procedure

From the MS Level 1 Part window:

1. Search for the relevant MS level 1 part and click the Register Forecast tab.
2. In the MS Set list, select the master schedule set for which you want to enter forecasts. If the required MS set is not available in the list, create a new record and use the List of Values to select from available MS sets and Save.
3. Create a new record in the table below.
4. In the Forecast Date field, enter the date when the forecast will be valid.
5. Enter the forecast for the part in the Forecast 1 field. You also can change the value from the level 0 disaggregation in the Forecast 0 field if required.
6. Repeat steps 2-5 for every forecast you want to register.
7. Save. When you save the forecast, the period is displayed.

From the Project Navigator/Demand/Forecast Part tab:

1. Open the Project Navigator window and click the Demand/Forecast tab.
2. Create a new record and select a part with the MS Set 1.
3. Enter the forecast for the part in the Forecast 1 field or Forecast 0 field.
4. Save the record.
