Define RRP Capacity

Explanation

This activity is used to change the resource capacity information automatically entered when you enter a work center, or change the load source. You can also connect additional scenarios with differentiated capacity and load sources.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that the work center has been registered. If connecting additional scenarios the scenarios must have alredy been registered.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system takes the specified quantity and/or efficiency into consideration when planning how much can be manufactured per day in the resource.

Procedure

From the Work Center window:

  1. From the Work Center list, select the work center for which you want to define capacity.
  2. Open the RRP Capacity tab.
  3. In the Scenario list select the scenario you want to define capacity for.
  4. If needed, create a new record in the table.
  5. In the Begin Date and End Date fields, enter the start and end date for the capacity limitations.
  6. In the Units per Day and Efficiency fields, enter the quantity that can be manufactured per day and/or efficiency during the period.
  7. In the Calendar ID field, enter the calendar you want to use for the date range. Click List to select from available calendars.
  8. Save the record.

From the RRP Work Center Scenarios window:

  1. Search for the scenario for which you want to change capacity.
  2. In the Units per Day and Efficiency fields, enter the quantity that can be manufactured per day and/or efficiency during the period.
  3. In the Calendar ID field, enter the calendar you want to use for the date range. Click List to select from available calendars.
  4. Save the record.

From the RRP Load Analysis window:

  1. Search for the scenario for which you want to change capacity.
  2. Open the Work Center Scenarios tab.
  3. Click the node in the tree structure which represents the work center for which you want to change capacity.
  4. In the Units per Day and Efficiency fields, enter the quantity that can be manufactured per day and/or efficiency during the period.
  5. In the Calendar ID field, enter the calendar you want to use for the date range. Click List to select from available calendars.
  6. Save the record.
