Create Sales and Operations Planning header

Explanation

This activity is used to create and fill in the header information for a new sales and operations plan.

Prerequisites

An MS level 0 part with Family Type Make-To-Stock or Make-To-Order has to exist. The part must have at least one MS set defined in the Product Family Master window.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a header is created in the State InProgress, and the connected table is populated with periods for the decided forward planning horizon.

Procedure

  1. Open the Sales and Operations Planning for Make to Stock or Sales and Operations Planning for Make to Order window.
  2. Create a new record.
  3. Query for the MS level 0 part and MS set that you want to create an S&OP header for.
  4.  Under Period Version, enter the period version the sales and operations plan. Use the List of Values to select from available period versions.
  5. From the header section right click and then click In Progress.
  6. Save the record.
