Reschedule Shop Order Material Line
Explanation
This activity is used to reschedule a shop order material line and optionally
the shop order operation requiring the material. The activity can be performed
using the Reschedule command from a shop order material demand
in the Inventory Part Availability chart.
This activity can be performed from IFS Aurena client only.
Prerequisites
A company owned shop order material demand must exist.
System Effects
- The shop order material line will receive a new
Required Date according to the
value provided in the dialog box.
- If Reschedule Shop Order
Operations is off, and the new Required Date is later
than the Finish Date of the operation which to the material line is
connected, the operation connection will be removed.
- If Reschedule Shop Order
Operations is off, the new Required Date may not be
later than the Finish Date of the shop order.
If Reschedule Shop Order Operations is on:
- Schedule Direction for the operation which
to the material line is connected will be set to Forward Scheduling and the operation will be rescheduled to start the first
available work date/time from the given value. If the material line is not
connected to any operation the first operation will be considered.
- Operations parallel to, and succeeding the rescheduled operation will
also be set to Forward Scheduling and rescheduled.
- If the new Required Date is later than the original date, Compress Operations
can be set to on. Then operations preceding the rescheduled operation will be set to
Backwards Scheduling
and rescheduled with a Finish Date adjacent to the rescheduled
operations new Start Date.
If the site is CBS server enabled, it is only possible to change the Required Date
of the material. Rescheduling of operations (with or
without compress operations) is not possible as scheduling individual
operations will be handled by CBS server logic and date required is not an
input for operation scheduling. For CBS, Material cumulative lead time,
scheduling capacity setting in the inventory part, supplies and demand
situations for the part will determine the material constraint when
scheduling.
