Report Kanban Production Receipt

Explanation

Use this activity to report production activity in a Kanban circuit for subassemblies. You can either report a production receipt using Production Schedule or report production directly against a Kanban card. The system creates inventory transactions to record the goods receipt and launches backflush to consume any components against the currently active product structure for the item.

In addition to the manual methods of production reporting, the system provides support for the use of an external device, such as a barcode reader, to enter the information electronically.

Prerequisites

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the circuit's supply to location receives the completed items. In addition, a production receipt backflush occurs to consume the components, and possibly machine and labor operations, that were defined in Manufacturing Standards. If a Kanban card is identified in this transaction, the system updates the last transaction information for the card to reflect the production receipt.

Note: The parts will always be received into handling unit 0. I.e. possible packing instruction connected to the schedule line will not be considered when reporting production receipt through the kanban card.
