Specify Maintenance Import Interval
Explanation
Use this activity to schedule the importation of work orders from
IFS/Maintenance. These work orders are considered as resource breaks within
Constraint Based Scheduling (CBS). Neither maintenance break dates and times nor break times can be
modified.
Prerequisites
This activity has the following prerequisites:
- IFS/Maintenance must be installed.
- Either a CBS site or an Advanced Planning Board (APB) site must be defined
and enabled in the
Scheduling Basic Data window.
The work orders that will be imported as resource
breaks has to fulfill the following constraints:
- The work order site should be the same site where the
import is done for.
- The work order should be connected to a object
which represents a work center resource or a tool instance.
- The operational status on the work order should
be Obstructive.
- Planned finish date on the work order has to be
defined and should be before the end of the scheduling horizon
- Planned start date on the work order has to be
defined and should be after the start of the scheduling horizon.
- The work order status should be
Under Preparation, Prepared, Released or Started.
- The execution time needs to be defined on the work
order.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- The system deletes corresponding resource breaks for any closed or
canceled work orders when importing.
- The imported work orders are compared against the corresponding resource breaks. Any updated work orders will update the corresponding resource breaks
and the new work orders will create new resource breaks.
