This activity is used to analyze the availability of company owned shop order material lines using a bar chart. The Y-axis shows the number of material lines and the X-axis the required date of the material lines.
To populate the chart, click the magnifying glass and search either for relevant shop orders or shop order material lines.
The chart can be configured using below settings:
When grouping / coloring by availability category, the below classification is used:
Availability Category | Explanation |
Reserved | Material line(s) are fully reserved. |
Available to Reserve | Material line(s) remains to be reserved, but the available stock minus previous required demands is enough to cover the entire demand. |
Supply Covers Demand | The available stock minus previous required demands is not enough to cover the entire demand, but enough open supplies with planned receipt date before the demands already exists to cover the demand. |
Need Orders | Neither available stock, nor open supplies are enough to cover the demands, but given the lead time it is possible to create a new supply order today and receive it before the demand date. |
Shortage | Neither available stock, nor open supplies are enough to cover the demands, and if a new supply order is placed today, it cannot be received before the demand date given the lead time. |
Material lines supplied from DOP order cannot be classified as Need Orders or Shortage as the supply is expected to be handled through the DOP structure.
