Analyze Machine Availability Summary Chart

Explanation

This activity is used to analyze the worst case machine availability on a high level for a work center resource, work center, department or production line using a pie chart.

To populate the chart, click the magnifying glass and search either for relevant shop orders, or work centers/time period depending on the page used. When searching for shop orders, chart will show the work centers connected to any of the operations on those shop orders.

A pie segment represents either a work center resource, work center, department or production line depending on the selected group by option and is assigned a load category based on below logic:

Load Category Work Center Resource Work Center Department Production Line
Not Loaded The resource has capacity, but no workload. The work center has capacity, but no workload. None of the work centers connected to the department have any workload. None of the work centers connected to the production line have any workload.
Partially Loaded The resource has workload less than its capacity for all days/weeks. The work center has workload less than its capacity for all days/weeks. All of the work centers connected to the department have workload less than their capacity for all days/weeks. All of the work centers connected to the production line have workload less than their capacity for all days/weeks.
Fully Loaded The resource has workload that equals its capacity on at least one day/week. The work center has workload that equals its capacity on at least one day/week. At least one of the work centers connected to the department has workload that equals its capacity on at least one day/week. At least one of the work centers connected to the production line has workload that equals its capacity on at least one day/week.
Unbalanced N/A One or more of the resources on the work center is overloaded on at least one day/week, but the workload does not exceed the capacity on a work center level. I.e. the workload can be balanced by splitting the work between the resources. At least one of the work centers connected to the department has one or more resources that are overloaded on at least one day/week, but the workload does not exceed the capacity on a work center level.
