Add Shop Order Rework Component

Explanation

This activity is used to add a component part that is not registered in the structure, and that is the same as the parent part or a component that has circular references to the parent part.

Prerequisites

This activity requires the existence of a shop order.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system adds a component part to a specific shop order. This change does not effect the entire part structure.

Procedure

1. Select the Rework check box, on Shop Order/Detail tab. Save the record.
2. Enter a line number in the Line Item No field.
3. In the Component Part field, enter the number of the component you want to add. Use the List of Values to select from the available parts.
4. In the Qty per Assembly field, enter the quantity of the components needed to manufacture one parent part.
5. In the Component Scrap and Scrap Factor fields, enter the fixed scrap quantity and scrap factor. The system calculates the total amount needed and displays the result in the Component Qty Required field.
6. Save the record finally.
