Copy PM Program

Explanation

Use this activity to create a new PM program by copying an existing PM program. You cannot copy PM programs that belong to different sites.

Note: You can only use this activity to create new PM programs, and not to create new PM program revisions. PM program revisions are created using the Create New Revision for PM Program dialog box.

Prerequisites

• A PM program should exist in the system.
• The work task templates connected to the existing PM program revision should have active revisions in order to be connected to the new PM program revision.  

System Effects

• A new PM program will be created, including the connections to work task templates (if applicable).
• The new PM program will receive the Preliminary status.

Procedure

1. Open the PM Program window, and query for the PM program you want to copy (F3).
2. Right-click on the header of the window and then click Copy PM Program. The Copy PM Program dialog box opens, and the details of the existing PM program will be displayed in the Copy From area.
3. Enter a new PM program ID and a revision (the revision is set to 1 by default) in the Copy To area.
4. Click OK.
