Set Mandatory Expiration Date on Inventory Part
Explanation
This activity is used to make sure all components in
inventory, with a specific part number, have an expiration date specified.
Prerequisites
- An inventory part must exist.
- All components in inventory, of this part number, must
have an expiration date specified.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, it will not be possible to
receive a component without an expiration date into inventory. Arrival locations
and quality assurance locations are not considered as inventory in this aspect.

Procedure
- Query for the inventory part for which you want to
make the expiration date mandatory.
- Select the Mandatory Expiration Date check
box on the Acquisition tab.
- Save the record (F12).
