Set Mandatory Expiration Date on Inventory Part

Explanation

This activity is used to make sure all components in inventory, with a specific part number, have an expiration date specified.

Prerequisites

System Effects

As a result of this activity, it will not be possible to receive a component without an expiration date into inventory. Arrival locations and quality assurance locations are not considered as inventory in this aspect.

Procedure

  1. Query for the inventory part for which you want to make the expiration date mandatory.
  2. Select the Mandatory Expiration Date check box on the Acquisition tab.
  3. Save the record (F12).
