Print Handling Unit Content Labels
Explanation
The handling unit content label contain information
about the handling unit ID, SSCC and alternative handling unit label ID and the content
of the handling unit. Handling unit content labels can be printed for specific
handling units in inventory or for an entire shop order.
Prerequisites
- Handling units must have been created.
- For production schedule a packing instruction must first have been connected to the part.
- If any of the inventory part in stock attributes is
unique the unique value will be shown.
- If the part number in the handling unit is unique the
quantity will be summarized.
System Effects
A report containing labels with information about
handling unit ID, SSCC and alternative handling unit label ID and the content of the
handling unit will be printed.

Procedure
From Handling Unit window:
- Open the Handling Unit window.
- Search for a handling unit.
- Click on the Structure tab.
- In the structure tree, select the specific level
for which you want to print the handling unit content label.
- In the Handling Units tab, select
the Print Handling Content Unit Label check box for the required handling
unit record. Also select number of labels in No of Handling Unit Content Labels
field.
- Save (F12).
- In the structure tree, select the required level,
right-click and then click Print Handling Content Unit Label(s).
- Handling unit labels are printed for the handling
units of the selected levels and the levels below that had the Print
Handling Unit Content Label check box selected.
An alternative way to print handling unit labels regardless of the value on
the
Print Handling Unit Content Label check box:
- Open the Handling Unit window.
- Open Handling Unit
Structure/Handling Units
tab.
- Select the handling unit/handling units for which
you want to print a handling unit content label.
- Right-click and then click Print This Handling
Content Unit Label.
- The handling unit content label/labels are printed.
From Handling Unit In Stock window:
- Open the Handling Unit
in Stock window.
- Select the handling unit/units for which
you want to print a handling unit content label.
- Right-click and then click Print This Handling
Unit Content Label.
- The handling unit content label/labels are printed.
From Handling Units in Receipt window:
- Open the Handling Unit in Receipt window.
- Search for a handling unit in a Receipt location.
- Select the record in top pane.
- Right-click and then click Print This Handling Unit Content Label.
- The handling unit label/labels are printed.
From Shop Order and
Shop Floor
Workbench windows:
- Open the Shop Order or
Shop
Floor Workbench window.
- Search for a shop order.
- On the structure, select the specific level for which you
want to print the handling unit contents label (either the entire shop order or the
required handling unit), right-click and then click Print Handling Unit
Content Label(s).
- Handling unit content labels are printed for the handling units of the selected
level that had the Print Handling Unit Content Label check box selected.
From Production Schedule by Line windows:
- Open the Production Schedule by Line window.
- Search for a production line.
- Right-click and select Production Receipt.
- Press OK, the Attach Parts to Handling Units for Receipt
dialog opens.
- Select the Print Handling Unit
Content Label(s) check box.
- Press OK.
From Production Schedule by Line Part windows:
- Open the Production Schedule by Line Part window.
- Search for a part no.
- Right-click and select Production Receipt.
- Press OK, the Attach Parts to Handling Units for Receipt
dialog opens.
- Select the Print Handling Unit
Content Label(s) check box.
- Press OK.
