Pick Transport Task Line or Handling Unit

Explanation

This activity is used to pick a transport task line or handling unit. A transport task line or handling unit in the Picked status indicates that a user has started the work to move the part or handling unit.

Prerequisites

• A transport task must have been created for the relevant goods.
• The goods should have been physically picked.

System Effects

The status on the transport task line or handling unit is updated to Picked. Note that the transport task line or handling unit have not been moved and to complete the move, the transport task line or handling unit has to be executed.

Procedure

From the Transport Task/Details tab.

1. Open the Transport Task window and populate or query for the required transport task ID.
2. Open the Transport Task/Details tab.
3. Select the Show Single or Show All radio button.
4. Select the line that should be picked.
5. Right-click and then click Pick.

From the Transport Task/Aggregated tab.

1. Open the Transport Task window and populate or query for the required transport task ID.
2. Open the Transport Task/Aggregated tab.
3. Select the Show Only Top Level or Show All radio button.
4. Select the handling unit or the transport task lines aggregated per location that should be picked.
5. Right-click and then click Pick.

Note: This can be done both from the upper and the lower pane of the tab.

From the Transport Task Lines window.

1. Open the Transport Task Lines window and populate or query for the required transport task ID.
2. Select the Show Single or Show All radio button.
3. Select the line that should be picked.
4. Right-click and then click Pick.

From the Handling Units on Transport Tasks window.

1. Open the Handling Units on Transport Tasks window and populate or query for the required transport task ID.
2. Select the Show Only Top Level or Show All radio button.
3. Select the handling unit that should be picked.
4. Right-click and then click Pick.
