Move Handling Unit

Explanation

This activity is used to move handling units within the structure. This is done by a simple drag-and-drop operation of the handling units. You can place individual handling units on a preferred handling unit according to the rules below.

• Package units with different contents cannot be placed on a homogeneous handling unit. If a package unit with different contents is placed on a homogeneous handling unit, the handling unit type will automatically be changed.
• One package unit cannot be placed on another package unit.

Prerequisites

At least two handling units must have been created.

System Effects

The handling unit is moved to another node within the handling unit structure.

Procedure

From the Shop Order or Shop Floor Workbench windows:

1. Open the Shop Order or Shop Floor Workbench window.
2. Search for a shop order.
3. Click the Handling Unit Structure tab to view the handling unit structure details.

Modify structure in a handling unit structure:

1. Expand the handling unit to view the handling units that should be moved.
2. Drag the handling unit to the preferred handling unit folder.

Note: Rules apply when moving package units within the package structure. Refer to the Explanation section for more details.
