Explanation
In this dialog box you can generate a sequence of serial numbers automatically. This
sequence can be either an ordinary number sequence or a sequence with prefix and/or
suffix. Note that, if numbers have been reserved in advance, they will be used first.
Otherwise, the first higher available number will be used. Example: If the numbers 1, 24,
and 56 are used in a serial number sequence, 57 will be the first higher available number.
In addition, when serial numbering is set to automatic, alphanumerical serial numbers
(such as IFS1200) are not allowed.
There are four possible combinations to use when generating a sequence:
- Sequence of numbers.
- Sequence of numbers with prefix. Example: IFS1200
- Sequence of numbers with suffix. Example: 1200C
- Sequence of numbers in combination with prefix and suffix. Example: IFS1200C
Prerequisites

have been selected in IFS/Part Catalog/Part Catalog.
