Count as Does Not Exist
Explanation
From the Count Handling Units window this activity is used to count stock records attached
to a handling unit to zero.
From the Count Per Count Report/Aggregated tab this activity
is used to count stock records attached to handling unit to zero. If only a part of
the handling unit content is included in the count report or the stock record is
not attached to a handling unit this activity is used to count all stock records
for each location to zero.
Prerequisites
- If counting limits are to be used, they must have
been entered on the Site/Extended Site Info/Inventory tab.
- Parts attached to the handling unit should not
have the planning method O, K, T.
- The handling unit cannot be in transit.
System Effects
- The divergences between the quantity stated in the
system and the counted quantity zero will be shown in the created inventory
postings, in Count Variance field in the lower part on the
Count Handling Units window and in the Acc Count Diff field
on the Inventory Part/Misc Part Info tab.
- If a limit is used for the site where the parts
are counted, the counting results that do not meet the limits will be
rejected. In such a case, the result must be approved manually and a
re-counting can be performed. Rejected counting results do not change the
quantity on-hand until it has been approved. Note that the part will
be frozen until the count result is approved or canceled.
- If you have entered a note in the Note field
in the Count Handling Units window, this will be displayed in the Query - Count Results and
Count Result Per Inventory Part windows. If inventory
transactions are created, the note will be included in them.
- The Last Count Date field in the
Count Handling Units window will be updated when you have counted
the handling unit. Note: The Last Count Date field will show
the oldest date of all the counted stock records in the handling unit. If
there is a stock record that has never been counted, the field will be
empty. For example, if the handling unit contains stock records for part A
and B, and both of the stock records are counted, the oldest count date
among the two records will be fetched to this field. If one of the stock
records has never been counted then this field will be empty.
