Convert to Direct Transport Task
Explanation
If the transport task line or handling unit has a forward-to location defined it is possible
to remove the to-location and replace it with the forward-to location creating a
direct transport task.
Prerequisites
- A part or handling unit must have been added to the transport task.
- The transport task line or handling unit has to be in the Created status.
- The transport task line or handling unit has to have a forward-to location defined.
System Effects
The transport task line or handling unit will be changed. The forward-to location will
be to-location the and the forward-to location will be empty.

Procedure
From the header of the Transport Task
window.
- Open the Transport Task window.
- Populate or query for the required transport task ID.
- Right-click on the header and then click Covert to Direct Transport
Task.
From the Transport Task/Details
tab.
- Open the Transport Task window and populate or query for
the required transport task ID.
- Open the Transport
Task/Details
tab.
- Select the Show Single or Show All radio button.
- Select a transport task line.
- Right-click and then click Convert to Direct Transport Task.
From the Transport Task/Aggregated
tab.
- Open the Transport Task window and populate or query for
the required transport task ID.
- Open the Transport
Task/Aggregated
tab.
- Select the Show Only Top Level or Show All radio button.
- Select a handling unit or the transport task lines aggregated per location.
- Right-click and then click Convert to Direct Transport Task.
Note: This can be done both from the upper and the lower pane of the
tab.
