Set Modification Revision Obsolete
Explanation
This activity is used to set a modification revision obsolete. It is not
possible to comply with a modification revision that has been set
obsolete. You can however decomply the modifications that are in the Obsolete
status.
Prerequisites
- The modification revision should be in the Active status.
- The modification revision should not be referenced by other modification
that are in either the Preliminary or Active status as a
Mandatory reference.
System Effects
- The modification revision is set to the Obsolete status.
- All assigned serials with a modification execution type of either
Initial Inspection, Continued Inspection or Terminating Action
will be removed.
- All assigned serials with the modification execution type Decomply
will not be deleted.
- All assigned serials that are in the Locked for Update
status will not be deleted. Instead, these assigned serials will be deleted
when the serial is unlocked.

Procedure
- Open the
Define Modification window and query (F3) for the
modification revision which is to be set to obsolete.
- Right-click anywhere in the header, point to Status, and
then click Set Obsolete.
