Modify Active Maintenance Program

Explanation

This activity is used to modify the primary and/or secondary releasing operational parameter values for the maintenance plan of an active maintenance program. You can also choose to modify information on the convenience tasks which are defined for the maintenance plan. When an active maintenance program is updated a journal entry will be created.

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, a maintenance program with an Active status must exist.

Procedure

  1. Open any one of the following windows and populate (F2) or query (F3) for the active maintenance program you want to update.
  1. Right-click and then click Modify Active Maintenance Program. The Modify Active Maintenance Program assistant opens.
  2. In the Part Number and Maint Group fields, enter the part number and maintenance group for the maintenance plan that is to be modified. Click List in the respective fields to select a valid value. Note: When the assistant is opened from either the Maintenance Groups tab or the Maintenance Plan window, the values in these fields will appear by default.
  3. Click Populate to view and modify the relevant maintenance plan for the active maintenance program.
  4. In the upper table, you can modify the primary releasing operational parameter for the maintenance plan. The following fields can be modified: Sorting Code, Maint Interval, Calendar Interval, Calendar Unit, Days Forewarning, Duration Workshop, Duration Unit, Calculation Rule, Cycle, Hour Estimate, Maint Cost, Mx Event Remark, Post Maint Check ID and Post Maint Check Revision. Note: The information entered in the Mx Event Remark field will be transferred to the Mx Event Remark field of the corresponding interval maintenance event record on the maintenance order.
  5. In the lower table, the secondary releasing operational parameter for the maintenance plan can be modified.
  6. In the Maint Interval field, enter the new maintenance interval value.
  7. Click Apply to save your changes.
  8. Click Finish to close the assistant or click Next to update convenience tasks for the maintenance plan.
  9. Click Populate to view and modify relevant convenience tasks for the maintenance plan.
  10. In the Mx Event Remark field, you can enter or update additional information on the convenience task. Double-clicking on the field will open a text editor where you can enter text in a more convenient fashion. When an event is created for the convenience task, this information will be transferred to the Mx Event Remark field of the corresponding event record on the maintenance order.
  11. The Post Maint Check ID and Post Maint Check Revision fields can be modified.
  12. Click Apply to save your changes and click Finish to close the assistant.
