This activity is used to set up the intervals that determine when the terminating action is performed for the specified modification. The terminating action performs the actual modification of the serial or serial structure.
The execution of the modification may be defined based on one or more operational parameters per the assigned part. It is also possible to define one calendar interval or unit as one of the parameters for a given part. By default, the system calculates the due date for all operational parameters and the calendar interval, and then triggers the execution of the modification by selecting the one giving the earliest due date. It is also possible to indicate (by setting Last Due Date Trigger Execution on the part number) that the latest parameter should trigger the execution of the modification. All parameters and the calendar interval are then calculated, and the one giving the latest due date is selected.
Once the terminating action is performed on a serial, the modification is complied with or embodied.
You can also define the terminating action of a modification as described in Assign Part to Modification.
Modification due calculation can be run to calculate due dates for terminating actions.
