Define Sign Off Requirements for Maintenance Event Code
Explanation
This activity is used to define sign off requirements
for maintenance event codes (i.e., fault functions, maintenance codes, condition limits,
modification codes, life limits, and post maintenance check
definitions). The purpose of this activity is to enter the sign off
requirements that will be used on a maintenance event. If IFS Human Resources is
installed, it is possible to specify a valid certificate for the sign off
requirement on the event. When a user signs off the event, the
system will validate whether he or she has the required certificate to perform the
sign off. If a certificate is not specified, the identity of the user is recorded
when signing off, but validations will not be performed.
Prerequisites
- Fault functions must have been defined.
- Maintenance codes must have been defined per part
revision.
- Condition limits must have been defined per part
revision.
- Modification codes must have been defined per part
revision.
- Stress ratings must have been defined
for the valid combination of LLP (Life Limited Part) revision, template part revision and
stress rating.
- Post maintenance check definitions must have been
defined with part revisions assigned to it.
- If certificates are required, these certificates must have been defined in IFS
Human Resources.
System Effects
- Sign off requirements will be defined for the fault function,
maintenance code, condition limit, modification code, life limit, and post maintenance check.
- Validations can now be performed when signing off
the fault event defined with a corresponding fault function or when signing
off the interval maintenance event, condition limit event, modification
event, life limit event
or post maintenance check event.
