Enter Structure Serial Ranges

Explanation

Use this activity to define a serial range for a part using serial effectivity for structures. If the part is marked as using serial effectivity for structures, you can define structure serial pointers to indicate the specific structure alternative to be used for a given serial range. This means that allocation and demand information is determined based on the serial number of the part being ordered, not on the date of the order.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that the part must be defined with the structure effectivity set to serial.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system defines a structure serial range for a part using serial effectivity for structures.
