Define Customer Disposition Code

Explanation

Use this activity to define customer disposition codes. Disposition codes are used to describe the fate of material or parts that are being dispositioned, for instance accept, scrap or not deficiencies.

Procedure

  1. Open the Repair Setup Basic Data window.
  2. Select the Customer Disposition Code tab.
  3. Create a new record (F5).
  4. Specify a disposition code, a customer and any note text.

Note: If required also use the right mouse button option Set Default to set it as the default disposition code, to be used if creating disposition lines based on the expected off log. This setting is only applicable when the disposition shop order is created and connected to an MRO Interim Order Structure.

  1. Save changes (F12).

Optionally you can connect a document text to the customer disposition code:

  1. Select the appropriate record, right-click and then click Document Text.
  2. The Document Texts for Customer Disposition Code dialog box opens.
  3. Create a new record.
  4. Specify an output type and any note.
  5. Save changes (F12) and close the dialog.
