Copy Recipe Alternate

Explanation

Use this activity to copy a specific recipe structure alternate to a specific recipe structure alternate on a preexisting structure revision.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that the structure for which you want to create an alternate must have been created.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system copies a specific structure alternate to a specific structure alternate on a pre-existing structure revision. No serial pointers are copied. These must be manually defined by the user. For the new alternates that contain operations, the alternate will be set to the default state, as defined in Site/Manufacturing. If you check the Copy Attached Documents check box you will also copy documents attached to Recipe Alternate and Line Item to the new alternate. The default value for this check box will be stored in the user profile.

Procedure

1. Select the part and the source structure alternate.
2. Right-click in the Recipe Structure tab, then click Copy Recipe Alternate.
3. In the Destination Alternate group box, select the destination part in the Part No field by clicking List.
4. In the Destination Alternate group box, select the revision number in the Revision No field. Click List to select from existing revision numbers.
5. In the Destination Alternate group box, enter the alternative number in the Alternate field.
6. In the Destination Alternate group box, select the site to which you are copying by clicking List.
7. Click OK.
