Procedure

1. Open the Competencies window.
2. In the area on the left of the window, select the competency to which you want to assign abilities. You might need to expand the competency tree in order to find the relevant competency.
3. There are 2 places where abilities can be defined:
   • On the Competency/Competency Levels tab, you can select a competency level in the Competency Level field, and define relevant abilities for that level in the table, in the Ability Description field.
   • On the Competency/Abilities tab, you have an overview of all competency levels and their respective abilities. If you add an ability on that tab, you will have to select an appropriate competency level in the Competency Level field, and then enter the ability in the Ability Description field.
4. After you defined all of the abilities, save your changes.
