Use this activity to register a new job.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a job will be registered in the system. The job will be "emtpy" and have no information associated with it.

Procedure

1. Open the Job window.
2. In the header, add a new record.
3. In the Job ID field, enter the identifier for the job.
4. In the Job Name field, enter the name of the job.
5. In the Valid From and Valid To fields, enter the validity period for the job.
6. Save your changes.

To register jobs in the Jobs window (note that Jobs window only allows you to create the job header info):

1. Open the Jobs window and add a new record.
2. In the Job ID field, enter the identifier for the job.
3. In the Job Name field, enter the name of the job.
4. In the Valid From and Valid To fields, enter the validity period for the job.
5. Save your changes.
