Enter Person Resource

Explanation

Perform this activity to enter person resources into a person group. It is possible for a person to only be available for the group for a limited time period. It is also possible to connect one person to several groups. For time reporting and cost retrieval, one group connection needs to be set to primary for the person.

Prerequisites

A person group and a person must exist. For use in manufacturing, the person also needs to have a valid employee ID.

System Effects

If the resource is not already an existing resource, a resource of type Person is created and connected to the group.

Procedure

  1. Open the Resource Navigator window and select the appropriate resource structure.
  2. Select the appropriate resource group in the navigator tree structure.
  3. Go to the Persons tab.
  4. Create a new record.
  5. Select a person in the Person field using the List of Values. Note that a person may appear more than once with different employee IDs. Save.
  6. In the navigator, select the person.
  7. Optionally, set a special calendar for this person in this group in the Calendar field.
  8. Enter a value in the Utilization field. 100% is the default value.
  9. Save the record.
