Create Depreciation Proposal

Explanation

This activity is used to create one or several depreciation proposals. 

Prerequisites

Before creating a depreciation proposal, the following must have been completed:

Procedure

Use the following procedure to create a depreciation proposal:

  1. Open the Depreciation Proposals window or the Depreciation Proposal window.
  2. Right click and then click Create Depreciation Proposal to open the Create Depreciation Proposal dialog box.
  3. Specify whether you want to base your selection on company or company group by selecting either Company or Company Group. Specify a range of companies or company group to be included.
  4. Specify a range for which books to create a depreciation proposal for. A depreciation proposal will be created for each unique combination of company and book.
  5. In the Depreciation Year field, enter the year up to which the selected objects should be depreciated.
  6. In the Depreciation Period field, enter a period of the year entered in the Depreciation Year field up to which the selected objects should be depreciated.
  7. Enter a description for the depreciation proposal in the Proposal Description field if necessary.
  8. Specify whether you want the objects to be included in the proposal to be selected based on the object or object group by selecting either Object or Object Group.
  9. Select Run in Background if you want this activity to be performed as a background job.
  10. Each row displays a unique combination of Company and book. Each row will generate a depreciation proposal. Unselect Include if you do not want to create a depreciation proposal for a specific combination.
  11. Unselect Create Log check box if you do not want to create a log file for the depreciation proposal.
  12. Click OK to close the dialog box.
