View/Copy Columns

Explanation

Use this activity to display, modify, and copy the columns in a column template. For each column, some basic information is displayed. You can also display and modify detailed information for each column. The copy operation is used for copying a single column from the current company or from another company in IFS Financials.

Prerequisites

Before displaying the columns, the following must have been completed:

• The column template including one or several columns must exist.
• To modify an existing template, the Authorization status must be set to Public in Column Templates. If the Authorization is set to Private, you can only modify the template if you are its owner or the system owner.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the columns in a column template are displayed. You can copy/modify the information.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to view  and modify the columns in a column template:

1. Open Column Template and find the column template. Basic information on the existing column/columns is displayed.
2. Mark one column and select Operations/View Column. Detailed information on the column is displayed. You can change the values.
3. Mark one column and select Operations/Copy Column. Default values are displayed in the From Company, From Template, and From Column fields. Enter a new name in the New Column Name field. Save the information.

Note! In Columns you can only display information on existing rows.
