Define Sales Part for Deliverable Line

Explanation

This activity is used to define a sales part for deliverable line representing existing product Items. If the deliverable line represents an existing part number then is it possible to define a sales part in the Sales Part No field. A possible Primary Sales Part is suggested as the default value but you can use the list of value to select a different one if required. If no Primary Sales Part exists then can you type or use the list of value to select a Sales Part No.

If no sales part exists or if it is left blank, also remove of the Primary Sales Part, then is the corresponding business opportunity line created as Non-Existing Part. The estimate process considers the inventory unit of measure. In case of that a sales part is defined for the deliverable line then is the quantity converted to the sales unit of measure, considering the defined conversion factor, when creating the corresponding business opportunity line.

Procedure

  1.  Open the Estimate window.
  2. Search for the Estimate ID with a customer connected that has a version included containing a deliverable line representing an existing part.
  3. Click on the Deliverables tab.
  4. In the lower table put the cursor in the Sales Part No field, enter or use the list of value to define a sales part.

Note: If a Primary Sales Part exist it is suggested as the default value but it is possible to use the list of value list of value to select a different one if required.
