Create Sales Quotation from Estimate

Explanation

When your customer has requested a quotation for one or more deliverable lines in the estimate, you can create a sales quotation from these lines. You can select the line or lines in the Estimate/Deliverables window and use the Create Sales Quotation right mouse button option. The Create Sales Quotation dialog box appears in order to update information.

Prerequisites

•  An estimate header with at least one version and one top item exists
• The status of the estimate cannot be Closed or Cancelled
• The status of the version must be Confirmed
• A customer must be connected to the estimate
• A version must be Included in the Deliverables tab for the customer
• Sales part and site must be defined for all deliverable lines

System Effects

• At least one sales quotation is created, using all available information on the estimate.
• All deliverable lines will generate new sales quotation lines. References to the sales quotation will be established for each deliverable line.
• If the estimate deliverable lines belong to different sites, one sales quotation for each site will be created.

Procedure

1. Select or query for the estimate in the Estimate window and choose the Estimate/Deliverables tab.
2. Select the line or lines from which you want to create a sales quotation.
3. Right-click and then click Create Sales Quotation. The Create Sales Quotation  dialog box appears.
4. If needed, update the wanted delivery date, delivery address and document address.
5. Confirm by clicking OK.
