Copy from Version

Explanation

Use this activity to copy the existing cost, contingency, additional costs and markup build-up for a designated version to the selected version. The existing cost, cost contingency and markup build-up for the selected version is removed and replaced with the copy from version’s. This activity can be performed by right-clicking from the item header in the Items tab.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that an estimate header exists with more than one version and there are differences between the versions regarding the cost, contingency and markup build-up. The version to copy to cannot be Cancelled.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the cost, contingency and markup build-up for the selected version is applied on another Version ID. The existing cost, contingency and markup build-up for the copy to version is removed.

Procedure

  1. Open the Estimate window.
  2. Search for the relevant estimate id.
  3. Click the Items tab.
  4. Select an item in the tree structure.
  5. Put the cursor in the item header.
  6. Right-click and select the option Copy from Version.
  7. Enter or use the list of value to select a version to copy from, press OK button.

Note: Item ID and Selected Version are predefined in the Copy from Version dialog and are read only.
