Define Analysis Configuration
Explanation
This activity is used to define what qualities you are looking for, i.e.,
what is the perfect match. In order to do this, you will have to select
someone or something that will serve as a pattern. During the matching process,
the application will analyze selected groups of people in search of whoever (or
whatever) matches the pattern.
Prerequisites
In order to perfom this activity, an analysis header has to be registered.

Procedure
- Open the Qualification Matching
window and go to the What to match with tab.
- In the Pattern field, select what will be used as the
pattern for the analysis. Following options are available:
- Job
- Profile
- Employee
- Applicant
- Person
- In the Company ID field, enter the identifier of the
company from which the selected pattern should be taken.
Exceptions: Person, Applicant
- In the ID field, enter the identifier of the item which
will serve as the pattern. E.g., if you selected Profile as
a pattern, the ID will be the ID of a qualification
profile.
- In the Matching Criteria area, select what attributes
of the pattern will be actually analyzed:
- Select the Competency check box if you are looking
for people or jobs who have required competencies of the pattern.
- Select the Work Experience check box if you are
looking for people or jobs who have required work experience of the pattern.
- Select the Personality check box if you are looking
for people or jobs who have required personality traits of the pattern.
- Select the Education check box if you are looking
for people or jobs who have required education level of the pattern.
- Select the Certificate check box if you are looking for
people or jobs who have required certificates of the pattern.
- Select the Internal Work Experience check box if
you are looking for people or jobs who have required internal work experience of
the pattern.
- Select the Physical check box if you are looking
for people or jobs who have required physical characteristics of the pattern.
- Click Advanced to open the Criteria Setting
dialog.
- On the Internal Work Experience tab:
- Click the In Current Job option if you only want to
analyze only current job assignments of persons and employees.
- Click Current and Previous Jobs option if you want
to analyze all job assignments of selected persons and employees.
- You can select Include Primary Jobs Only check box if
you want to narrow the analysis only to data stored in primary jobs.
- On the Criteria Order tab, you can define the
order in which selected criteria will be analyzed. You can speed up the
analysis process by moving the most selective criteria (those least likely
to be met) to the top.
- Click OK.
- In the Description field, you can enter any additional
information about the analysis.
- Save your changes.
