About Performance and Potential Matrix
Context
The Performance and Potential Matrix can be used to find the development
needs of employees, create succession plans, find future leaders and develop
talent pools using the combined results of performance and potential.
Concept
- Employees are positioned within the N-box matrix using the performance
scores and the career potentiality levels.
- The number of boxes displayed in the matrix varies based on the
performance appraisal indexes and career potentiality levels used by the
organization.
User Interactions
- Matrix colors can be changed according to the user’s wish.
- Easy to switch between the box matrix and the list views.
- Avatar and list view options are available to change the employee
picture sizes upon the user’s desire.
- Details of employees are shown in card view to have a quick look at an
employee's next job and to compare her performance scores.
- Clear indication of the performance and potential levels of employees
which helps to monitor their position among their colleagues.
- Matrix details are subjected to change based on the selected career
period and performance periods.
Process
- Define the Career Potential Levels, Performance Indicators, Career
Advancement Types, Career Advancement Types of the compnay. (These are
one time definitions done by an Admin User)
- The Manager can enter the employee's Career Potential Level and
derive employee's Performance Score.
- The details will be shown in the box matrix for the selected Career
Period and Performance Period.
Tips
- A seperate page called 'Employee Career Potential' is introduced to
enter an employee's career potential level.
- Performance scores can be taken at the end of a performance evaluation
performed by both the employee and manager. Performance Summary page can
also be used to enter the performance score manually.
