Use this activity to enable and specify the parameters required for the message handling system (MHS). This is done in the System Parameters window in Solution Manager/Configuration. This window is controlling general system settings for the application.
The following parameters should be defined:

| Connectivity Outbox process restartup interval (seconds) | This is the number of seconds for the process running Outbox background job to wait before checking for new jobs to process. The default value is 30 (seconds). | Free of choice, e.g., 5 (Very fast restart) |
| Durability in days for accepted messages in Inbox | This is the age of accepted messages in the Inbox to be removed by cleanup processes. The default value is 7 (days). | Free of choice, e.g., 7 |
| Durability in days for accepted messages in Outbox | This is the age of accepted messages in the Outbox to be removed by cleanup processes. The default value is 7 (days). | Free of choice, e.g., 7 |

As results of your entry the Inbox and Outbox are activated, the frequency for processing messages and the durability for accepted messages in the In- and Outboxes has been defined.
