Define Time Types

Explanation

This activity is used to record hours booked as time report records against different resource groups within the team.

As a result of this activity, one or more time types can be defined, with the connection to resource groups and can be used to record the hours booked as to execute a work task. The sales part connected to the Time Type will be used when generating sales lines to invoice the customer on work task..

Procedure

Define Time Type header:

  1. Open the Organization Basic Data window.
  2. Click the Time Types tab and create a new record (F5).
  3. In the Time Type ID field, enter a time type.
  4. In the Description field, enter a description of the time type.
  5. In the Sales Part No field, enter a sales part from List of Values.
  6. In the Calendar ID field, enter a calendar from List of Values.
  7. Save the record (F12).

Add Resource Groups to Time Types:

  1. Create a new record(F5).
  2. In the Resource Group field, enter a resource group from the List of Values.
  3. In the Sales Part No field, enter a sales part from List of Values.
  4. Save the record (F12).
