Define Critical Work
Explanation
Use this activity to create a definition for critical work. Critical work is
a definition of how different combinations of the parameters work type, object criticality and
work order priority should mark work orders or PM actions as critical work or not.
If IFS/Maintenance Planning Board (MPB) is used, the critical work value on the work order can then be used as a parameter when
scheduling work orders/PM action occurrences with maintenance planning board.
When creating a line for critical work, at least one of the three parameters
(work type, object criticality and work order priority) needs to be set. A check
box on each line called "critical work" needs to be checked for the combination
of parameters to be considered as critical work.
Prerequisites
N/A
System Effects
- The check box for critical work on work orders and PM actions will be
set according to the definitions in the critical work basic data.
- If IFS/Maintenance Planning Board (MPB) is used ,when scheduling work orders and PM action occurrences in
MPB the critical work check-box value can be taken into
consideration when scheduling. Hence, work orders/PM actions marked as
critical will be prioritized by the scheduling logic when allocating
resources.
