Mark as Default Template

Explanation

This activity is used to specify one company template as the default template. During a new installation, you can replace the existing default company template by specifying another company template as the default value. 

Prerequisites

A company template must be available in the Company Templates window.
Note that during installation/upgrade of IFS Applications, a set of system company templates are created. At that point, if a default template is not available, then the first installed template must have been set as the default. 

System Effects

The default template will be used according to the following:

• It will be suggested as the source template when creating a new Company in the Create Company Wizard.
• It will be suggested as the source for user related data in the create company template.
• It will be suggested as the source in the Update Company Translation dialog box if the current company has no source company or source template.

Procedure

1. Mark the Company Template to be modified and use the RMB option Mark as Default Template.
2. Confirm that the action really should be done. Default is that the actions should not take place.
