Define Zip Codes 

Explanation

Use this activity to create or modify the zip codes that can be used when entering address information in IFS/Enterprise and for other purposes, such as reporting.

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• State codes must be entered in the States window.
• County codes must be entered in the Counties window.
• City codes must be entered in Cities window.
• A country code must be connected to a state code.

System Effects

There are no system effects as a result of this activity.

Procedure

1. Open the Zip Codes window.
2. Query for the country, state code and the city code for which you want to add or modify zip codes.
3. To create a new zip code, create a new record.
4. In the Zip Code field, enter the new zip code if you are adding a zip code record. If you are modifying an existing zip code record, you cannot edit this field.
5. In the subsequent fields, enter the complementary information that corresponds to the zip code. If you are modifying an existing record, you can change the contents of these fields.
6. Save the record.
