Create Sales Quotation from Business Opportunity

Explanation

When your customer has requested a quotation, you can create a sales quotation from the business opportunity. You can use the Create Sales Quotation right mouse button option from the header in the Business Opportunity window. The Create Sales Quotation dialog box appears in order to update information.

Prerequisites

• The business opportunity must have the Confirmed status.
• The customer category should either be Customer or Prospect.

System Effects

• A sales quotation is created, using all available information on the business opportunity header. The status of the business opportunity is updated to In Progress.
• All opportunity lines on the active revision will generate new sales quotation lines. A reference to the originating opportunity line will be stored on the quotation line. If the opportunity lines belong to different sites, one sales quotation for each site will be created.

Procedure

1. Open the Business Opportunity window and search for the required opportunity.
2. Right-click and then click Create Sales Quotation. The Create Sales Quotation dialog box appears.
3. If needed, update the wanted delivery date, delivery address and document address.
4. Confirm by clicking OK.
