Cancel Contract

Explanation

Use this activity if the contract is not valid anymore. A contract can be canceled due to several reasons, for example, if it was created during a bidding phase but the customer decided to not go ahead with the contract.

Once a contract is canceled, you cannot create new applications or change the contract, lines, or items.

Prerequisites

The contract must not be in the Completed or Closed status.

System Effects

The contract revision will be canceled.

Procedure

In either the Sales Contract or the Sales Contracts window, query for the contract you want to cancel.
Right-click, then point to Status and then click Cancel.
Click OK.
